Energy using Products (EuP) Directive

Design for Environment

The EuP Directive must be transposed by the member states before 11 August 2007.

The EuP Directive is a framework directive that provides EU-wide rules for eco-design of energy-using products. It does not set forth directly binding requirements for specific products, but defines conditions and criteria for setting, through subsequent implementing measures, requirements regarding environmentally relevant product characteristics.
