Energy using Products in Ireland

Ireland has implemented the EU Directive on energy-using products (EuPs) through the European Communities (Ecodesign Requirements for Certain Energy Using Products) Regulations 2007 (SI 557, 2007) (the “Ecodesign Regulations”). The law was adopted on 26 July 2007 and entered into force on 11 August 2007, which is the implementation date imposed by the EuP Directive. There are explanatory notes attached to the regulations, which are not part of the regulations and do not purport to be a legal interpretation.
