Introduction

In France EU requirements on azo dyes are transposed into national law via Decree No. 2003-866 (du 9 septembre 2003 relatif aux colorants azoïques dans les articles en tissu et en cuir en contact avec le corps humain (J.O n° 209 du 10 septembre 2003) (azo dyes)) and Decree 2004-1227 (du 17 novembre 2004 relatif aux conditions de mise sur le marché et d'emploi de l'arsenic et de ses composés, du colorant bleu, du pentabromodiphényléther et de l'octabromodiphényléther et modifiant le décret n° 92-1074 du 2 octobre 1992 (J.O n° 269 du 19 novembre 2004) (colourant blue)).
