European Outlook for 2007

The European law affecting consumer electronics continues to develop rapidly. EIATrack subscribers are already familiar with the WEEE and RoHS Directives. The EU, however, has adopted additional legislation that will lead to further regulatory requirements being imposed on electrical and electronic products.

This EIATrack report reviews some of the main developments that EIATrack subscribers may expect to see in 2007. As the review below illustrates, there are many issues that EIATrack subscribers should monitor, as they are likely to affect electronic product design in the future.
