In Austria currently one product-related restriction applicable to the product scope of the database applies:

  1. Restriction of lead in packaging materials (transposition of Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste).

  2. A second restriction is not yet transposed (deadline for transposition not until August 13, 2004)
    lead prohibition in electronics (threshold limit suggested)

Defined Restrictions:
Packaging: 100 ppm for sum of heavy metals (lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, and cadmium)
Electronics: 0.1%
