Ukraine has adopted legislation implementing the provisions of the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC. The legislation comprises a Ministerial Order and Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers that came into force on 19 December 2008.

While the Decree sets out the substance restrictions laid down in RoHS, the Order concerns the operational procedures set up in Ukraine to monitor compliance. Although the Ukraine legislation generally is quite close to European legislation, there are differences in scope, as further discussed below.
