New Hampshire has not enacted legislation mandating the take-back of used and disposed of electronic equipment.  However, New Hampshire has passed a law that includes a disposal ban applicable to video display devices and created a commission to study the recycling and disposal of electronic waste.

In 2008, New Hampshire adopted a Mercury-Added Thermostat Collection Program that requires mercury-containing thermostat manufacturers to create and promote a thermostat collection and recycling program.
