This report provides an overview of legislation of Cyprus that imposes restrictions on the use of chemical substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE).

Cyprus has transposed, insofar as necessary, and implemented the EU legislation imposing restrictions on chemical substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), including the RoHS-1 and RoHS-2 Directives, and the REACH Regulation, with the exception of a recent amendment to RoHS-2.

A 2015 amendment to RoHS-2 restricting four phthalates (DEHP, BBP, DBP, and DIBP) in medical devices and monitoring and control instruments as of 22 July 2021 and in other EEE as of 22 July 2019, has not yet been transposed in Cyprus.
